APhA's Room Block

APhA has reserved 40 rooms available (each night) at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park. APhA's Room Block

Due to the conversion of on-campus hotel rooms to dormitories in 2023, APhA has reserved all 30 rooms available (each night) at the University Guest House and Conference Center for the APhA Institute. Attendees will not be able to make reservations on their own, and must reserve rooms directly through APhA. On your registration form, please indicate your interest in staying at the University Guest House & Conference Center when you register and email APhA staff at APhA-ASP@aphanet.org. APhA Staff will be in contact with you directly about a potential room reservation at the University Guest House. Priority will be provided to attendees with disabilities and health-related issues.

The reservation deadline for attendees is Monday, April 29, 2024.

APhA Room Block

APhA has reserved 40 rooms each night at Sage Point Residence Halls and Benchmark Plaza Apartments for APhA Institute attendees. Please make your apartment reservations directly through your APhA Institute Registration Form. Payment will be required when you register for the conference.

The reservation deadline for attendees has been extended to Monday, April 29, 2024.

Room Rates

Room Rate (Single) = $55.00 per night (includes taxes and fees)

Please note that each residence hall accommodation is a private bedroom (single occupancy room) and you a share bathroom with only 1 other attendee. Male and females sharing facilities must be a married couple.

Amenities

Private residence hall bedrooms include a twin XL size bed, dresser, desk and chair. All rooms are provided with linen, which includes 2 sheets, 1 blanket, 1 pillow with pillowcase (if you like more than one pillow please bring it from home), 1 large hand towel, soap and a drinking cup per resident. Please bring 2 bath size towels; one can be used as a shower mat.

During the week you may exchange your linen, get washcloths or extra toilet paper at the front desk. The room will be made up when you arrive; you will be responsible for making up your own room and bathroom thereafter. Garbage receptacles are located in the room, however you are responsible for emptying your own garbage during the week.

Wireless internet is available for guests throughout the residence halls. To access the wireless internet, connect to “UGuest” network. You will need an active e-mail address to log on. You may also connect with an Ethernet cord plugged into a port available in each room. You must provide your own Ethernet cord. Free laundry facilities are located on most floors of the building.

If you have a vehicle, you will need a Parking Permit. Parking passes may be purchased onsite during check-in on Wednesday.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival on Tuesday, May 28 or Wednesday, May 29

You can check-in anytime after 2:00pm on either Tuesday, May 28 or Wednesday, May 29. Please go to the Peterson Heritage Center front desk to pick up a key to your room. The front desk is opened from 6:00am to 12:00am. If you are arriving after hours, please go directly to the University Guest House (front desk) to pick-up your key. Registration for the APhA Institute (to check-in and pick-up your workbook and registration bag for the meeting) will be held on Wednesday, May 29 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm in the University Guest House and Conference Center (lower level).

If you have a special reason for requesting a change in your accommodations, you may contact the staff at the Sage Point Residence Halls / Benchmark Plaza Apartments (Summer Conference Team) and they will be happy to make changes wherever possible. Every effort is made to accommodate your roommate request (male and female sharing room or bathroom must be a married couple). If for any reason you will not be staying on campus or are unable to attend the Institute, please let us know so that your room reservation can be canceled. If you decide not to stay after checking in, return your key to the Heritage Center within 30 minutes or if you stay overnight, by 10:00am on the day of your departure. You are being charged for staying in the room if you have the key in your possession.

Departure on Saturday, June 1 or Sunday, June 2

Check-out on Saturday, June 1 or Sunday, June 2 at 10:00am. To check out, return your key to a table located in the front of the Heritage Center lobby. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU TURN IN YOUR ROOM KEY AND SWIPE CARD. A charge of $100 for the key and $10 for the swipe card will be made to the individual if they are not returned by the 10:00am check-out. To avoid being charged, make sure the person taking your key and swipe card marks off your name. If you are returning them for someone else make sure his or her name is marked off before leaving.

If you are a resident of the Salt Lake City area, staying off-campus with a friend or in a hotel, or if you are staying in the Sage Point Dorms and will need a place to park a vehicle, please visit the Commuter Services website and have license, make/model of car to purchase daily visitor parking passes.

Parking on The University of Utah Campus is strictly enforced. You will receive a ticket if you park in the University Guest House parking lot (Parking Lot 63) or in any other parking lot on campus (if you do not have parking tag).
