APhA's Room Block

APhA has reserved rooms at the University Guest House and Conference Center and attendees will need to make their own reservations for the Institute this year.

  • To book online, please visit the University Guest House Online Reservation system and use offer code BKG135 to access the APhA room block. If you are trying to make a reservation for nights outside our room block (Tuesday, May 27 – Saturday, May 31), you will need to call the University Guest House directly.
  • You may also make your hotel reservation by contacting the University Guest House by calling 1-888-416-4075 and mention the group name APhA 2025 Individual Reservations.

All reservations must be made no later than Sunday, April 27, 2025, to obtain the group rate.

Room Rate (Single/Double): $165.00 + 13.82% Tax = $187.80 per night
Room Rate (Triple): $175.00 + 13.82% Tax = $199.19 per night
Room Rate (Quad): $185.00 + 13.82% Tax = $210.57 per night

APhA Room Block

APhA has reserved 40 rooms each night at the Marriott Honors Community Apartments for APhA Institute attendees. Please make your apartment reservations directly through your APhA Institute Registration Form. Payment will be required when you register for the conference.

The reservation deadline is Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Room Rates

Room Rate (Single) = $55.00 per night (includes taxes and fees)

Please note that each apartment accommodation has a private bedroom (single occupancy room) and you a share bathroom only 1 other attendee. Apartments may have up to 4 attendees but include a kitchen and living room. Male and females sharing facilities must be a married couple.

Amenities

Private apartment bedrooms include a twin XL size bed, dresser, wardrobe, desk and chair. All rooms are provided with linen, which includes 2 sheets, 1 blanket, 1 pillow with pillowcase (if you like more than one pillow please bring it from home), 1 large hand towel, soap and a drinking cup per resident. Please bring 2 bath size towels; one can be used as a shower mat.

During the week you may exchange your linen, get washcloths or extra toilet paper at the front desk. The room will be made up when you arrive; you will be responsible for making up your own room and bathroom thereafter. Garbage receptacles are located in the room, however you are responsible for emptying your own garbage during the week.

Wireless internet is available for guests throughout the residence halls. To access the wireless internet, connect to “UGuest” network. You will need an active e-mail address to log on. You may also connect with an Ethernet cord plugged into a port available in each room. You must provide your own Ethernet cord.

Free laundry facilities are located on most floors of the building. However, you must bring your own detergent.

If you have a vehicle, you will need a Parking Permit. Parking passes may be purchased onsite during check-in on Wednesday.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival on Tuesday, May 27 or Wednesday, May 28

You can check-in anytime after 2:00pm on either Tuesday, May 27 or Wednesday, May 28.

Please go to the Kahlert Village front desk to pick up a key to your room. The front desk is opened from 8:00am to 10:00pm. If you are arriving after hours, hours (between 10:00pm and 8:00am), please call the Summer Conference Guest Services Desk at (385) 270-7041 for assistance.

Registration for the APhA Institute (to check-in and pick-up your workbook and registration bag for the meeting) will be held on Wednesday, May 28 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the University Guest House and Conference Center (lower level).

If you have a special reason for requesting a change in your accommodations, you may contact the staff at Kahlert Village (Summer Conference Team) and they will be happy to make changes wherever possible. Every effort is made to accommodate your roommate request (male and female sharing room or bathroom must be a married couple). If for any reason you will not be staying on campus or are unable to attend the Institute, please let us know so that your room reservation can be canceled. If you decide not to stay after checking in, return your key to the Kahlert Village front desk within 30 minutes or if you stay overnight, by 10:00am on the day of your departure. You will be charged for staying in the room if you have the key in your possession.

Departure on Saturday, May 31 or Sunday, June 1

Check-out on Saturday, May 31 or Sunday, June 1 at 10:00am. To check out, return your key to the front desk of Kahlert Village. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU TURN IN YOUR ROOM KEY AND SWIPE CARD. A charge of $150 for the key and $20 for the swipe card will be made to the individual if they are not returned by the 10:00am check out.

Travel Tips and Resources
Parking on Campus (For all attendees not staying at the University Guest House)

If you are a resident of the Salt Lake City area, staying off-campus with a friend or in a hotel, or if you are staying in the Marriott Honors Community Apartments and will need a place to park a vehicle, please visit the Commuter Services website and have license, make/model of car to purchase daily visitor parking passes.

Parking on The University of Utah Campus is strictly enforced. You will receive a ticket if you park in the University Guest House parking lot (Parking Lot 63) or in any other parking lot on campus (if you do not have parking tag).
